Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long before you can ship my order?  Most products that are already made will ship the next day. Please allow at least 5 days to process any custom order. During wedding season (April-August) it may take slightly longer. Please let us know if you have a rush order and we will do our best to accommodate you. 

  • How long will shipping take to my address (within the U.S.)?  In most cases, it should arrive at your address within 2-3 business days. Larger packages ship priority, which should get anywhere in the U.S. within 3 days. Christmas time takes a couple days longer. If you are ordering one or two razors, you package may be shipped First Class instead of Priority but it will usually arrive just as fast.

  • Do you ship to addresses outside the U.S.?  Yes, we ship to addresses all over the world. The USPS does not track packages once they leave the U.S. (unless you select a really expensive option).

  • What do you use for your finish?   The finish we use on our wood products is Cyanoacrylate (CA) glue, which is basically Super Glue. It provides a hard, durable and glossy finish that holds up extremely well in water.

  • Will the finish hold up to daily use in water?  The finish will hold up very well when exposed to water. However, I do not recommend leaving the razor or shaving brush in the shower or where it is in constant contact with water. It will last much longer if dried after each use or for shaving brushes, it is best to hang it up to dry in a shaving stand. I do not recommend submerging wood or hybrid shaving brushes in water. Normal use is fine but do not soak in a shaving mug for example.

  • Where can I buy replacement cartridges for the Mach 3 and Fusion razors?  Cartridges are available at any pharmacy or department store wherever shaving products are sold.

  • Can you make me a razor for a Schick (or other razor brand) cartridge?  At this time, we can only make razors for Gillette Mach 3, Gillette Fusion and DE Saftey Razors.

  • What is a DE Safety Razor and what kind of blades does it take?  A DE (Double Edged) Safety Razor is the 'old-fashioned' type razor that your father or grandfather probably used for shaving. DE Safety Razors take a standard razor blade that are available wherever shaving products are sold. Safety Razors have made a come back in recent years because of their simplicity and low-cost blades and they give you a great shave!

  • How many characters can be engraved on a razor handle?  The majority of our razors are engraved with 2 or 3 character initials. We do engrave names as well. While we can do longer names, we don't recommend more than 10 characters as the characters may become smaller with each character added to fit in the small space on the handle.

  • Will the engraving wear off over time?  We engrave our razors with a laser engraver, which leaves a cavity in the wood. This cavity is then filled with a filler and sanded down again. The finish is then applied over the engraving, so the engraving will never wear off.

  • Can you engrave a razor that is already finished?  While we prefer not to engrave products that are already finished, if there is a product that is one of a kind and you must have it engraved, ask us. Most can be sanded down, engraved and refinished for an additional fee.
